Dina passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Saviour on Saturday, April 25, 2026 in her 105th year. Beloved wife of the late John Neevel (2013). Cherished mother of the late Henry Neevel (2003) and Mary Lannin-Neevel, Diane and Ken Turner, Wilma Rosehart and Ron Steensma, Evelyn and Ed Krohe, Richard Neevel and Cindy Wushke, and Betty and Clarence Toornstra. Proud grandma of Melissa (Mitch), Ryan (Bethany); Heather (Ian), Kristen (Marshall); Jon (Erin), Mike (Gina); Sarah (Josh), Jason (Mandy), Lisa (Brett), Brooke (Brett), Stacey (Taylor), Jayden (Julia); Ben (Lea), Leanna (Jeff), and Zach (Isis) and great-grandma of 26 great-grandchildren. Dear sister-in-law of Rikie Neevel. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Gerrit and Dina (Ormel) Hengeveld, and her siblings; Trui, Derk, and Grada.
Dina had a servant’s heart, always helping those around her. She always put others before herself. Dina loved spending time with her family, friends and among her gardens.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Thursday, April 30th from 6 – 8 PM.
Dina’s funeral service will be held at the Exeter Christian Reformed Church, 332 Huron Street West, Exeter on Friday, May 1st at 11 AM. Private family interment Exeter Cemetery.
