We remember with love, the life of Elva “Marie” Brunzlow, who passed peacefully at Jessica’s House on April 24, 2026 at the age of 86. Marie was born at Clinton Hospital on April 22, 1940 and grew up on a farm near Hills Green, Ontario.
Cherished wife of Donavon Brunzlow for almost 64 years. Dear mother of Brenda Regier (Kevin) of Zurich, Mike Brunzlow (Prisilda) of Ingersoll and Deb Mathonia (John Coursolle) of London. Devoted Grandma to her 6 Grandsons; Bradley Regier (Shannon), Brendan Regier (Corine), Shawn Regier, Dylan Mathonia and Jessie Mishriky, Mitchell Mathonia (Brooke), Logan Brunzlow and Great Grandchildren; Grayson, Harper and Bennett.
Dear Sister-in-Law to Maurice Haist, Wayne and Gerry Brunzlow, Charlie and Carol Haight and Brenda and Dean Dolbear. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her Sister Ruth Ann Haist, Mother-in-Law Alma Brunzlow and parents Eldon and Olive Jarrott.
Marie worked as a dedicated Registered Nurse at Clinton Public Hospital for 40+ years and formed many lasting friendships. She was deeply committed to charity and fellowship and was often on the go with the UCW; making meat pies, volunteering with the Cancer Society, Meals on Wheels, the Hospital Auxiliary, and helping with the Rummage Sale. She enjoyed curling, lawn bowling, bowling or playing cards with her friends. Her winters were spent with her best friend, Don, snowmobiling around Ontario and Quebec or crocheting throws in her free time.
Marie was known for her heartfelt laugh and many would stop if they heard it and say “I knew it was you, Marie, when I heard that laugh!!”
Our lives have been richer as a result of Marie’s love and she will remain in our hearts forever!
Many thanks to Dr. Jadd, Huron County Paramedics, Huron Perth Palliative Care Outreach Team and Staff at Jessica’s House, for your compassionate care of Marie and Family.
A celebration of Marie’s Life will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER, on Saturday, May 2nd from 11 AM – 2 PM, with words of remembrance at 12PM. A private family interment will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Jessica’s House, Canadian Cancer Society or Heart and Stroke, would be appreciated.
