Well my friend, I once told you were like a brother I never had. I also told you at the start of this I would walk with you till you took your last breath. My promise to you was granted. I remember that morning March 21, 2026 at around 8:45am like it was yesterday.

Within minutes of your passing the sun came out for a brief time. Like you were sending us a message that you have crossed over that god made you and angel, and gave your wings to fly free.
    That you are my friend.

    Rest in peace

    Fly high like and eagle

    Till we meet again

My condolences to all of George’s family, extended family and friends. I met George last Feb when I moved from Toronto to Exeter. My cousin had already told me about George, the artist, because I am also an artist. In June, George approached me to ask if I’d be interested in entering an art contest in Goderich. I was shocked and honored! Off we drove in August to Goderich after George chose my crewel work. I really enjoyed listening to George’s stories and experiences. I noticed last week his painting hanging in the United Church where I sing. He was an amazing man and artist. I was able to tell him what an incredible human being he is and was at the hospital. I miss you already, George… my friend.
