Passed away surrounded by love, in the home of her eldest son and daughter-in-law, on Thursday, October 23, 2025 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late George Parker (2024) for almost 71 years. Loving mother of Rick and Judith Parker, Cindy Taylor and Chris Scoyne, Randy and Carolyn Parker, and Rod and Tammy Parker. Much loved grandma of Tim, Erin (Brian); Ryan (Jeanette), Megan (Brad), Kari (Marty), Kim, Krista; Bryan (Michelle), Brett, Brittany (Paul); Darren (Kyley), Kayla, and Devin (Emily) and proud great-grandma of Katelyn, Will, Nic, Ben, Grace, Ruby, Rosie, Londyn, Brooklyn; Jesse, Jasper, Jorja, Isaiah, Olivia, Hayden, Mace, Alex, Sophia, Emmett, Bella, Violet, Bellatrix, and Azaleigha. Dear sister-in-law of Debbi Shaddick, Geraldine Wein, Pat and Don Dalton, and Marlene Parker. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Earnest and Pearl (Churchill) Shaddick, parents-in-law Harold and Dorothy (Corbett) Parker, grandson Jeffrey Taylor, great-granddaughter Taylor DeBruyn, brother William Shaddick, brothers-in-law Gerald Parker, Ken Parker, Douglas Wein, sister-in-law Dorothy Dailey, and nephew Steven Dailey.
While raising their family in Hensall, Judy and George enjoyed many summers at their trailer in Bayfield and then winters in Florida. Ten years ago, they moved from Hensall to Exeter. When visiting, you would find her with knitting needles in her hands, making countless afghans and sweaters for her family, nieces and nephews. Later in life, she donated hundreds of baby blankets and hats for newborns in Stratford and London hospitals, and her signature knitted dishcloths to the gift shop at South Huron Hospital.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Thursday, October 30th from 9:30 – 10:30 AM, where Judy’s memorial service will be held at 11 AM. Cremation with a private family interment Baird’s Cemetery.
Stream the service live or at your convenience by visiting www.facebook.com/haskettfh
In lieu of flowers, donations to Jessica’s House or South Huron Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

I was her mail lady for her (and George’s) time in Exeter and she would often bring me fresh out of the oven chocolate chip cookies and always knitted me dish cloths for Christmas. We would chat from time to time and I always thought she was a truly wonderful lady.

Our condolences to all of Judy’s family. We enjoyed having your Mom and Dad as neighbours and there were many lovely visits. Your Mom was the first one at the apartments to create flower beds and we all appreciated seeing her flowers. She also promoted lots of social time outside with her benches and chairs. She was a very kind, friendly neighbour and Bob and I miss her and your Dad who was also ready to help. You are in our thoughts and prayers. The world is certainly a better place because she was here.

My sincere condolences to Rick, Cindy, Randy, Roddy , and their families. We all had such fun growing up, together. My fondest memory of Judy, was back in the early 70’s ice storm. There was no hydro. You guys had a generator and our family stayed with you guys. Judy made us all chicken soup and hot dogs. It was great. I’ve never forgotten what fun that was. Judy and George are now together again. God bless them.

Our most heartfelt sympathy to all of you at this sad time. I think back to the weddings we were invited to, the times Judy and I had coffee together at the camp in Bayfield. The meals Judy cooked for us. The Auctions! I remember back to when Rod was born , close in age to Tom . Aunt Pearl and Bea Shaddick comparing notes as to which of the boys did what soonest. I remember enjoying Brian , Randy’s oldest when Judy would keep him at the park while Randy and Caroline had some me time. I remember Cindy and the girls as little ones. Judy and I would correspond through the winter when we were all in Florida. Not only was Judy a cousin to Gerald but became a good friend to me. I feel sad also but did pray after my last visit on the phone that Judy would not suffer much longer. Judy is with George now. They earned their wings.
Barry & Amy Parsons
