Unexpectantly at home with family by her side on Thursday, November 14, 2024 of Seaforth and formerly of Plattsville in her 65th year. Loving partner of Lyle Haney for almost 30 years. Dear step-mother of Daryl Haney (Shezlene) of St. Thomas, Yvette Haney (Tony Pickering) of Seaforth, Anette Scarrow (Carmen) of Seaforth, Lindsey Haney (Alexis) of St. Thomas, and Adam Haney (Kate) of Seaforth. Proud Gwennie of Rheese, Reegan, Dane, Isla; Mallory; Adele, Georgia; Sawyer and Wyatt. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Terry Good (Kim) of Meaford, Murray Good (Chantelle) of Putnam, and Glen Haney (Deb) of Seaforth. Fondly remembered by many friends, nephews, and a niece. Predeceased by her parents Floyd and Wilma (Erb) Good, infant twin sisters, and brother-in-law Robert Haney.
Gwen was a wonderful volunteer and community member with countless hours devoted as a board member to the Seaforth Agricultural Society and council member of the Egmondville United Church. She loved to cook and entertain her family and friends. Her famous peanut butter balls will be greatly missed this holiday season. Over the years she enjoyed many worldwide trips with her traveling companion Lyle by her side.
A come and go celebration of life will be held at the Seaforth Agricultural Society, 140 Duke Street, Seaforth on Saturday, December 7th from 1-3 PM. Words of remembrance will be held at 1:30 PM. Private family interment at Egmondville Cemetery. Haskett Funeral Home, SEAFORTH entrusted with arrangements.

I was shocked to hear of Gwen’s passing. Gwen, her brother Terry and I rode the bus together to Waterloo Oxford. And we were “young volunteers” at New Hamburg fair together. Then my husband and I showed jerseys at Seaforth fair so Gwen and I had our regular meetings at the fair.
