Peacefully at the residence of his daughter, RR 1 Lucan, with his family at his side on Friday, May 31, 2002, Austin W. Hodgins of Biddulph Township, at the age of 82. Beloved husband of 50 years of Dolly (Van den Berg) Hodgins. Dear father of Jackie and Peter Martens of RR 1 Lucan and Anita and Joe Matika of Woodstock. Dear grandfather of Andrew and Tracey Martens and Joline and Michael Matika. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Hamilton and Audrey Hodgins and Gwen Grose all of Lucan, Vincent Hodgins and Genevieve Worrall both of Denfield and Gloria Hodgins of Lucan. Predeceased by a brother Larry Hodgins, brothers-in-law Charles Grose and Lyle Worrall and a sister-in-law Lillian Hodgins. Friends may call at the C. Haskett and Son Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM where the funeral service will be held on Monday, June 3rd at 11 AM with Reverend Bruce Pocock officiating. Interment St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye. Donations to VON Middlesex Elgin Branch or the Lucan Area Heritage would be appreciated by the family. Austin served his country during WWII, Biddulph Township for 35 years, farmed the family farm of 5 generations and was an active member of the Lucan Area Heritage.

Dear brother-in-law of Evelyn Flynn of Hensall. Predeceased by his parents John and Elizabeth Flynn and a brother Joseph Flynn.
