ZIRK: Peacefully, after a short struggle with cancer, at London Health Sciences Centre – Victoria Hospital, London, on Saturday, May 31, 2025, Louis “Lou” Leonard Zirk of RR 3, Zurich, age 75. Beloved husband of Linda Mae (Overholt) Zirk. Loved father and father-in-law of Darren Zirk Firman and his partner Lisa Francis of Hensall, Mae Overholt and her partner Paul Keleher of Guelph, Tina Overholt and partner Rick Hurl of Waterloo. Loved papa to 7 grandchildren and 1 great- grandchild. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Glen Zirk of Dashwood, Kim Overholt and Bill Overholt both of Goderich, Bob Overholt of Dunnville, Roy Overholt of Burlington, Anne Basler of Clinton, Barb Roberts of London, Ruth Bissett and Mike of Goderich, and Doris Smith and Bruce of Clinton and Gary Ashenden of Welland. Predeceased by his parents Leonard Earl and Verna Odelia (Vincent) Zirk, an Infant baby sister (1949). Brother in-law John Overholt, Fred Basler and sister in-law Nancy Ashenden. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood with Visitation on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 from 6 pm to 8 pm, where the Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at 10 a.m. The Rev. Harry Disher Officiant. Interment Bluewater Bronson Line Cemetery, Zurich. Lou was a longtime school bus driver for the local school area. If desired, memorial donations (payable directly) to Heart & Stroke or Cancer Society or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.


We are so sorry of Lou’s passing. We were next door neighbours for over 50 years. He was easy to get along with. We will miss our tea visits. Pat & Evelyn Regier

The Zirk family has had a long time relationship with our family buying baby chicks, and fowl from our hatchery years ago.. it was always a pleasure to chat with Louie when ever he would continue to come for eggs… the struggle was short and we will miss him… our condolences and prayers to the families…
