Peacefully at South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Sunday, May 11, 2003 William (Bill) Roy Gartley of Centralia and formerly of London in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of the late Laura May Gartley (1987) and the late Verda Mae (Lightfoot) Gartley (1991). Dear father of Dale Gartley of Hastings, Brenda and Peter Bos of Valley, Alabama and dear step-father of Sharon and Pat Soldan of Grand Bend. Dear grandfather of Shawn, Scott, Steve and Kimmy; Dwayne and Peggy, Tyler and his friend Nancy, Hayley and Allison; Tracy and Ron, and Jason and his friend Jen. Also survived by 6 great-grandchildren. Special friend of Rosemary Stewart and her family. Predeceased by his parents John and Eva Gartley, sisters Lil, Kay and Margaret and a brother John. Friends may call at the Hopper Hockey Funeral Home, 370 William Street, 1 west of Main, Exeter on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 14th at 11 AM with Rev. Dwayne Bos officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, London, Wednesday 2:30 PM. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or South Huron Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
