It’s been a blessing to know Murray for more than 50 years. He was a kind generous soul, always willing to help. He enriched our lives with his smile and that infectious laugh. We are all a little poorer for his passing.

With profound sadness I extend my condolences to Lori and Matt – thank you for sharing your husband and father with me on several occasions – he was a gentleman with a twinkle in his eye and I am so grateful to have had the chance to line dance with him…joke with him…enjoy cagneys with him and have his famous breakfast McMuffin! Our rum cruise and beach laughs will forever be fond memories …you are a special guy my friend …I will miss you but will meet again ❤️

Murray, aka Ollie, was a friend to many! I count myself ‘most blessed’ to be able to count him a close friend for over 50 years. We met as teenagers in 1970, caught up in the movement of ‘Up With People’ , which led to the creation of Sing Out London. That youthful zeal carried us into adulthood and I’m grateful we intentionally kept our friendship alive over the past 5 decades. I was honoured to stand up in your wedding party and wear our ‘bunny outfit’s’ at the reception. You have left us far too soon, but I ‘trust God still, that we will see each other again. Godspeed my dear friend.

I was sad to hear of Murray’s recent passing, but I am so glad that we had a chance to catch up last year at a Sing-Out event. During our times together in Sing-Out, he was my buddy and like a brother to me and stood beside me during some pretty rough times.

We are thinking of you after receiving this news tonight, and send our sincere condolences. We will miss sipping a rum (or two) with Murray at the Lake. Unfortunately, we are unable to attend the service.

Murray is the epitome of the term gentleman as in gentle man. Always there to listen, help and laugh, especially with his friend my deceased Father. May they be laughing and chatting together now.
