Our condolences on the passing of Don

Marg and family of Don,, I am so saddened to read about Don`s passing. This man will be missed my so many. You could never get one over on Don, as he always had something witty and smart ass to say back,, which we all enjoyed. His presence at the bowling alley for years was such a staple. He always greeted us with his big smile, and of course, something smart to say,, which just set the course for the remainder of the evening. I am sure Audrey has missed him, as much as you are all going to now, and she will be welcoming him home to show him the ropes up there. Hugs to you all, you are in our thoughts and prayers, especially in the tough days ahead.

Don was a sweet heart that we met when Exeter Bowling Lanes shut down…..and we moved on to Lucan…a very supportive man to all the bowlers as well to his family: May he rest is peace.

My deepest sympathy to all of you with the passing of Don. I have some great memories of him from when we bowled and how he greeted me and how I always had a smart remark to come back with. He pretended he was a grumpy man but we all knew he had a big heart and the grumpyness was just a front. Going to miss him he was a great man and very loved. Will miss you Uncle Don very much. You have always there for our family. Have a lot of great memories of good times – Playing chicken with the boats at Port Bruce, Racing with his Super Bee, Family get togethers, dancing, meals…etc.
Getting pushed into the S _ _ T while catching chickens. Could count on him with a great come back when anyone poked fun at him – In fact he very often did one better. Even Uncle Dave could be put back sometimes with his whit.
Thought I was a great roofer until I helped him roof his house and I could barely keep up with him. Then Debbie comes up on the roof and makes us all sick. Uncle Don was one of the few people who still called me “Davey”
Aunt Margret, Deb, Diane I am very sorry for your loss and of course Dad and Uncle Dave for the loss of your brother.

Dear Deb and Dianne, I’m so so sorry to hear of your dad’s passing, I loved him he will be missed by many. And I remember growing up in your mom and dad’s house and him teasing , and getting to know him as an adult and still teasing lol….Keep your memories close and know he will always be with you. My condolences to Marg, Deb, Diane & families. Uncle Don and I share the same first name as my mom, Dorothy had her favourite which was Don and so I was named after him when I was born. He had a bright yellow Road Runner which he liked racing around in, plus an old army Jeep with flower decals on it, which we would go 4 wheeling in and drive across the thames river in( when it was low). He, like everyone has said, would try to be gruff and then all of a sudden he was laughing and being a smart ass. I am really going to miss this guy. Rest In Peace Don you deserve it.
