My heart is absolutely broken hearing this news about Lorraine. She’s one of the most wonderful people I know and I’m so blessed to have had her in my life. Her laugh, her wit, her vast knowledge and our shared love of music will be so dearly missed. I will cherish the memories of our walks along the beautiful trail in Exeter where she would teach me about birds and the infamous white squirrels. My deepest sympathies go out to her family. I could barely believe it when I heard the news of Lorraine’s passing . I enjoyed Lorraine ‘a quick wit , work ethic, and love of family and friends .We had many great conversations riding home from Robarts School. Our sons enjoyed Lorraine’s company when she’d come in for hot bowl of stew before heading through to Exeter in the winter . She will be missed by all who knew her . Our thoughts are with her family.

I am deeply saddened to hear the news. I thought she would win. For sixteen years I would look forward to seeing her every Monday evening. I loved her wit, sense of humour and intelligence! I have wonderful memories working with Lorraine at the Robarts School for the Deaf in London a few years back. Long drives to London from Exeter in winter, while daunting, did not disuade Lorrainne. She was always pleasant, positive and highly efficient. Lorrainne made many friends where ever she worked, we will all miss her. My sincere condolences to Lorraine’s family ( whom she spoke often of ) and all of her friends and colleagues.

Lorraine was the secretary at Robarts when I began my teaching career. I love chatting with her and laughing with her. Her quick, witty sense of humor made even the toughest days bright. She was the woman with all of the answers and knew just what to do in every situation. Her presence has been greatly missed since she moved to another Ministry. She is, and will continue to be, greatly missed.
