WALPER: Pamela (Pam) Joyce (van der Wiel) of Exeter

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandma, Pamela Joyce Walper (Pam) of Exeter, at the age of 63, on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 as a result of a fatal motor vehicle accident.  Survived by cherished best friend and soul mate for over 45 years Ron Walper of Exeter.  Loving and devoted mother of Anne (Walper) and Jamie Bedard of Woodstock, and Amy (Walper) and Andrew Bedard of Exeter.  Beloved “Gram” of Kayla, Sophie, Marshall; Adrie, and Henry. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Henry (Elsie) van der Wiel, Morris (Sharon) van der Wiel, Rock (Brenda) van der Wiel, Pauline Harris, Delton Walper, Donna (Wayne) Desjardine, and many nieces and nephews.  She also leaves behind many extended family, friends, and students.  Predeceased by her parents Bill and Anne van der Wiel, brothers Aart (Carol) van der Wiel, Gerard (Gayle) van der Wiel, sister Anne (Kai) Jorgensen, and brother-in-law Bev Harris.  The world has lost a beautiful soul, the kind of which we will never see again. She will be loved and missed forever.

Family and friends are invited to gather at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, Exeter (1 street west of Main) on Saturday, October 8th at 10:30 AM for the funeral service, which will be held at 11 AM with Bob Heywood officiating.  Interment Exeter Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.

Anne, Amy and Family,
We are so saddened of the news of your mom. Anthony and I do not have words. She will always be such a wonderful memory, the most beautiful smile every morning when us kids got to ride on her bus. Such a great start to our day and on the way home she always managed to put us in our place when we deserved it! Pam will be missed by many. Thinking of you all.

I never met. Pam in person but we would wave every afternoon just outside of Lucan as she was going home and I’d be going to pick up my students at school I always thought I would like to meet her some place where we could talk as she always had a big wave and a big smile. You are all in my thoughts and prayers

Our sincere sympathy to the Walper Family. You have lost a very special lady, a wife, mother, and grandma whom each of you cherish. She always had a smile and a positive comment. She cared! In your sorrow, your happy memories of Pam will help you move forward. I remember a conversation we shared about each having a grandson named Henry, and the joy of family. Our prayers and sympathy are with you. Sincerely, Robert and Alma Westlake

Auntie Pam was as beautiful inside as she was on the outside, and I see so many of her characteristics in you girls and her beloved grand babies. I hope you all find some solace in your memories – I will always hear her laugh when I remember her, and see that beautiful smile :) She was an amazing woman and we were all fortunate for the time we had with her.
