WALLACE: Sean Robert of Toronto

Passed away peacefully at Kensington Hospice, Toronto on Sunday, September 10, 2023 of Toronto at the age of 60. Cherished father of Chantel and Paul Smith and grandfather of Lyon, and Gabriel. Dear brother of Erin Wallace, and Tony Wallace. Fondly remembered by the extended Wallace families. Predeceased by his parents Maurice “Mo” and Hazel Wallace, and sister Laura Wallace.

Those who knew Sean knew he had a big heart. He was always willing to help someone in need, often putting others before himself. Sean lived in Toronto his entire life, and always considered himself as an “east end boy”. He was a staple at the beaches in Toronto.

Cremation has taken place and Sean will be laid to rest at St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye, where he will be close to his daughter and her family.

Donations to Kensington Hospice would be appreciated by the family.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Kensington Hospice for their kindness and care shown to Sean.

My deepest condolences to the loss of your dad, Sean. I grew up with Sean and knew him since the age of 2. He was my older brothers bf and he was like another brother to me for many years.
Sean was a kind, sweet child with an infectious sense of humour. I have so many wonderful memories of him.
I’ve given your Uncle Tony my contact information if you want to hear some of them. Some of them are pretty funny.
Deepest condolences from the Hardinge family (John, Ilse, Kevin, Derek and myself, Lee). We are so sorry for your loss.

Sean was my cousin thru my Dad’s first marriage, so distant, but we did grow up together and see each other at holidays etc.
then about 10 years ago thru his sister, Laura and Tony we reconnected. I know he struggled but he was always polite, affectionate and gave the best hugs. He was a caring person who left an impression on both my grown sons. Our sincere condolences for the loss of your Dad.

Sean was my friend and neighbour for 14 years, he would always put a smile on my face even when I did not feel like smiling.
He kept a positive attitude despite the troubles he had sometimes.
He was always there to help anyone who needed help, whether it was moving a couch, babysitting, cleaning up around the buildings or walking dogs. Sean always helped people that were having tough times with a meal, a bed or just an ear and shoulder to lean on. He was a good guy.
He will be missed.
RIP buddy,
My deepest condolences to his family, daughter and grandchildren who he spoke of often, loved dearly and was so very proud off.
I am so glad to have known sean, he will always have a special place in my heart, thankfully I have many memories to reflect on, he will not be forgotton.
God Bless You Sean, hope you have found some peace.
Your friend always.
Sue and furbabies.

Condolence from Tonie on September 14th, 2023 2:33 PM

I met Sean when I moved to Kingston Road and Queen East. He was always out and about helping someone. He would work his butt off around our building. Just to help. We all loved Sean and tried to be there when we could. I am crying cause I will miss Sean calling up to say hello as he walked past my window, but I also know Sean is finally at peace. He has a peace today that he always searched for. Sean was kind cause he never wanted anyone to feel the way he did when folks turned their backs on him. Sean was a good man with a beautiful Spirit and I look forward to seeing him on the other side when my day arrives. Much love to his family.

Sean was a neighbour here in the Beach for 10 years.
Always ready with a smiling Hello. And a helpful manner carrying my groceries up the many stairs here.

Sean lived across the driveway from our family as a child. I have great memories of his humour and sweetness. It’s tragic that life threw such big obstacles in his path.

My condolences to Chantel, as well as Erin and Tony. He will live on in our memories.
