WALKER: Norma Ethel

Walker, Norma Ethel

July 14, 1927 – May 27, 2023

Norma Ethel Walker passed away peacefully, just short of her 96th birthday, surrounded by family, at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital, Goderich, on Saturday, May 27, 2023.  Norma lived in Grand Bend and was previously from Orangeville.  Beloved wife of the late John Cresswell Walker (2009).  Norma is survived by her children Pamela Walker and Trish Challen (Peter) of Grand Bend, granddaughter Merinda Challen (Dan Hughesman), great-grandchildren Cody Hastings (Courtney Kurmey), Anthony Hastings (Heather Yeo), Austin Hastings (Jenn St Germain) and Trinity Hughesman, and great-great-grandchildren Miley, Ava, Alex, Berkley, Noah, Leland, Ryley, Ryder and Abigail all of Saskatchewan.  Remembered by her nieces Judy McCrea (Mike deceased) of Ancaster, Sandy Edwards (Steve) of Waterloo and sister-in-law Harley Walker (Ross deceased) of British Columbia.  Predeceased by her mother, Ruby Margaret Ann Noble-Morrison (R J Morrison), sister Jean Aceti (Jerry), brother Bill Noble (Velma and Doris), brothers-in-laws Don Walker (Nancy), Ross Walker, and great-granddaughter-in-law Brittany Hastings (wife of Cody).   Everyone who met Norma immediately loved her because she made them feel valued and welcomed.  Norma was generous with her time at the Huron Country Playhouse Guild, strong in her faith at St John’s Anglican, Grand Bend, and a former Regent of the IODE, Orangeville.  At Norma’s request, cremation has taken place and a private celebration of life will occur.  Private Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery, Orangeville.  Arrangements entrusted to T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood.  In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.   The family would like to thank the staff at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital for their compassionate care of Norma.
