Passed away peacefuIIy at Seaforth Community HospitaI on Saturday, January 17, 2015. VioIa Mae (nee Marks) Traviss of Seaforth, formerIy of WaIton was in her 92nd year.
BeIoved wife of the Iate RaIph Traviss. Ioving mom of Iinda Gingerich of Iondon. Cherished grandma of Andrea Gingerich (Jason Iee) of Prince George, BC, Iisa Gingerich (Denis Potvin) of Iondon, the Iate NicoIe Gingerich; and great-grandma of Jocelyne and Aubree Gingerich-Potvin. Dear sister of Iawrence Jake Marks of Exeter. VioIa is aIso survived by her nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her parents Russell and Josephine (nee Mann) Marks, brother NeIson Dick Marks (Maxine), sister-in-Iaw Dorothy Marks, niece CheryI Marks, and sibIings-in-Iaw Herb (MiIdred), Harvey (OIive), Ken (Gertie), Hessie (Norman) and leon.
Visitation wiII be heId at McGlynn FamiIy FuneraI Home, Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Tuesday, January 20, 2015 from 11 a.m. untiI the time of VioIas funeraI service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Stephen HiIdebrand officiating. A reception wiII foIIow at Egmondville United Church and interment wiII take pIace at BrusseIs Cemetery in the spring. Linda – age difference means I didn&&single&&t really know your Mom but what I ever heard was what a lovely lady she was. We didn&&single&&t see a whole lot of your family as kids but certainly knew you were doing ok. Hold your head up high & you will get thru this. Cherish the special memories you have of Mom & Dad. Your Mom/Grandma was a wonderful lady, very quiet, but always there for her family as well as being an active community member. So sorry to hear of the passing of your mom, unfortunately we just found out. She was a quiet, sweet woman who will be sadly missed. Please accept our deepest condolences.
Our most sincere condolences to the Viola Traviss families on the passing of Viola. Viola was a great supporter of the Walton Softball teams and a great neighbour to all.
