I, as I’m sure the rest of the community was so shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of Len today. He was such a huge personality and public figure in Exeter. I always enjoyed my interactions with Len. My thoughts go out to Noel and her family.

My thoughts are with all of you. Len was a wonderful man and will be missed by many. It was a pleasure to work for him many years ago.

Noel and family, although we knew Len for all too short a time, we will miss him greatly. He befriended us with the same openness he did so many. We enjoyed our many golf games and evenings at dinner watching him approach a plate of food, usually Italian, with such gusto. May you and your family sustain his memory as will we.

A Dad gives you love, unconditionally. A Dad nourishes you and is the one you can pour your heart out to. A Dad is gentle, but not weak, strong, but not harsh. Sometimes he is you best friend and sometimes he’s your boss. But one thing for certain, he will always be your DAD.
When I look out to everyone today, I am overwhelmed, but not surprised by the out pour of love and support given to our family during this most difficult time.
What does one say about a man who has touched so many people in so many memorable ways? A Man who has been the foundation of our family and the pillar of strength, and wisdom for all the times we needed to confide in him or have a shoulder to lean on.
My Dad was an amazing, selfless husband, father and grandfather. He instilled in us the value of “your word” and a firm handshake. The value of hard work first and play after. The value of the truth and working together and being there when a friend or family needed him. The value of a warm hello and a loving hug. And especially the value of Family and of saying 3 simple but powerful words, “I LOVE YOU”.
I found it very difficult to condense into words everything my Dad was to me, our family and friends. I had written pages, as the list was endless. But I feel in my heart that “VERI FINE” just says it all!
Being far from home and my family, I quickly realized the importance of making the time to visit my mom and dad, travel with them, prepare and enjoy a homemade meal together. Whatever it was, to make it a great visit filled with conversation, jokes, golf and laughter.
I will always look back to this past summer and smile when Dad and I were on the phone in our won kitchens comparing techniques and spices used when making our fresh tomato sauce. And the time Dad quickly showed me the fine art of roasting peppers just to refresh my memory. I especially will always treasure this past Christmas dinner at our home shared with mom and dad. So much love was around our table that you couldn’t have asked for a better gift.
To Mom, Jim, Mike, Ray, my sisters and all our children, I believe even though we are overcome by such tremendous grief and heartache, I know we will be ok. I believe Dad will be with us always in our hearts and our memories. It may seem so difficult now to remember his voice, laugh, his cologne, his impeccable sense of style in everything he did, or his sneezes that would raise the roof. But I know in time, as we heal and our pain lessens, all those memories will be vivid again and we will smile again. And I know I in my heart that Dad will always be watching over us and keep us safe as he always has. Look at your children, he’s in each and every one of them. I see Dad’s beautiful, bright, blue, Italian eyes in our son Tyler, and I see Dad’s endearing, warm smile in our son Ryan. For that I am forever Blessed and grateful.
So today we say Good bye to my Dad, a man that was so deeply loved, admired and cherished by his family. To my Dad, a man that I was so proud of and whom I boasted about. To my Dad, a Daughter’s first Love, and a Son’s first Hero.
In closing I would like everyone to remember this one thing: LOVE the people GOD gave you because He will need them back one day.

We are so very sorry to hear of Len’s passing. Just wanted to let you know that our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

I want to extend my deepest sympathies to Noel and the Veri family. Len was a family friend whose professional success did not prevent him from being a kind and generous person. His example deserves reflection and he will be missed.

I’m so sorry for you’re loss Noel and you’re family .My dad ( Ross Dobson) would have wanted to give his condolences.Your family has been apart of my mom and dads past and I remember many stories that my mom and dad shared with us .Again I’m understanding your pain and perhaps my dad and Len are sharing old times right know.

I will truly miss Mr. Veri and God blessed the world with his presence. He was so generous, kind and helpful to my parents and I when he owned Riverview Estates. ‘My prayers are with you and a Mass will be celebrated for for him and your intentions.

My folks came to Exeter to begin our family business almost 30 years ago. They were tenants of Len’s. For my father to say what a great person and very fair and successful business man someone else is..is huge. A great compliment to Len.

Unless one has had to experience something like that, no one knows what you have been through. There is very little left to be said about Len that has not already been said, by Michelle’s wonderful tribute to her father and friend, by Jim’s eulogy and by Bruce’s euology. He was a great, great, special person and will always stand out in our minds as a wonderful role model. It was an honour to have known him.

I remember coming to Exeter for the first time and meeting Len it was as if we had known him all our life. Len had that effect on so many people and resulted in a long wonderful history of friendship that we will always treasure. We were honored to call him our FRIEND.

We were heartbroken to hear of Len’s passing. We will treasure our memories of golfing and New Years eve stone crabs.. Len was truly a man who lived his life to the fullest! Our hearts go out to you Noel and your family. He will be missed.

Today my dad would’ve been 76 years old. May you golf your perfect game today. Dad, there isn’t a day that we don’t think of you and miss you greatly. Because we didn’t have the luxury of seeing you everyday, doesn’t mean we grieve less, in fact we grieve more for the time we didn’t have together. I thank you dad for who you were and what you helped us to become. The last goodbye is the hardest to say. Happy Birthday Dad!! We Miss You!! All our love to you for always and forever.
