Passed away peacefully in her sleep at Seaforth Community Hospital on Friday, May 23, 2025 in her 93rd year. Loving wife of the late Simon Van Tol (2024) for over 72 years. Cherished mom of Joanne and Paul Green of England, Simon and Helen Van Tol of Petawawa, Elma and Mike Kellough of Seaforth, Marilyn and Harry Den Haan of Seaforth, and Julie and Tom Watts of Beamsville. Proud Oma of 16 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Johannes and Margo vander Kraats, and her siblings Go, Bep, Joop, and Cor.
Elisabeth and Simon could often be found along the shores of Bayfield, enjoying a picnic together, followed by Simon casting his line and Elisabeth settling into a good book. She crocheted many beautiful pieces that she shared with her family. Elisabeth’s beautiful voice has been shared in many choirs throughout the years. Above all, she enjoyed family time, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at the Clinton Christian Reformed Church, 243 Princess Street East, CLINTON on Saturday, June 7th from 12:30 – 1:30 PM, where Elisabeth’s funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM. Interment Egmondville Cemetery.

To Elisabeth’s family sending sincere sympathy, thoughts and prayers. She was always very friendly and kind to my parents, Fred & Betty Tilley at Seaforth Manor. She had a cheery greeting for us in the dining room just a few days ago so I was quite shocked to hear this sad news. May your memories bring comfort and peace.
To all the family, my heart goes out to all of you. From Mike and Elma to Harry and Marylyn and to all the sons and daughters. I have known you all for so long, my deepest sympathies at this time. Prayers are in my thoughts for all at this time.
