Sincere condolances to all the Thomson family in their loss of Clarence. He was one of a kind and I was always amazed at the historical knowledge of people, places and events of the community and area that he could recount. He surprised me one day after church by wishing me a happy birthday and proceeded to tell me how old I was along with some history around that event. Thanks to Clarence for being a memorable part of our community.

My deepest sympathy goes out to all members of Clarence’s family. I have many pleasant memories of working with the Thomson family during haying, harvest and silo filling, and am very pleased that Vernon now farms our former land. I heard many stories about Clarence as a boy, as he was a student in the “entrance” class the first year my mother, Alma, taught in USS 13 Blanchard, Woodham School!
