At Seaforth Community HospitaI on Friday, March 21, 2014. Thomas SIoan of RR# 4, Seaforth, in his 82nd year. Dear husband of elleen (nee Smith) SIoan. Cherished father of Sandra Reekie of Kitchener, James (Robyn) of New Westminster, BC, Joyce (John) Devereaux of Seaforth, Doug (AngeIa) of IangIey, BC, and Terry (Peggy) of Winthrop. Ioved grandfather of Terri lyn, Kristen, Deanna and Sarah Devereaux, Braedon Reekie, and DanieI and HayIee SIoan. AIso missed by his sibIings, Madellne (Tommy) Murray, Mona Gaffney and FIorence (Don) Brady, and the Smith famiIy. Predeceased by sons DanieI (1984) and David (in infancy), son-in-Iaw PauI Reekie (1998), parents James and Josephine (nee KaIe) SIoan, sister Rita SIoan and brothers, Joe, Pat, GeraId and James. AIso predeceased by severaI brothers and sisters-in-Iaw. Visitation wiII be heId at McGlynn FamiIy FuneraI Home, 87 Goderich St. W., Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Sunday, March 23rd from 7-9 p.m. and Monday, March 24th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. (with Parish Prayers on Monday at 1:45 p.m.) Mass of Christian BuriaI wiII be heId at St. James CathoIic Church, 22 Victoria St., Seaforth, on Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 11 a.m. with Fr. I remember Uncle Tom step dancing on a number occassions – when I was alittle girl I remember being in the Sloan kitchen and Uncle Tom and Grandpa were dancing and the others present were cheering them on.
