TAYLOR: Dorothy (Pincombe) of Exeter

Dorothy passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Exeter Villa on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late John Taylor (2011). Loving mother of Brian and Heather, and Brad and Ann Marie. Proud grandma of Amy and Alex, Chad and Ashton, Lauren and Steve; and Ryan. Adored great-grandma of Charlie, Levi, Piper; June and Grace. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Bill and Louise Pincombe, and Marilyn Taylor. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Verne and Vera Pincombe, sister-in-law and brother-in-law Mary and Jack Brintnell, and her brothers-in-law Alvin, and Melvin.

Dorothy was a dedicated and talented woman who spent many years at Raymond McLean’s law office, where she was known as a secretary and bookkeeper. She kept her sharp skills active into her 90s. She loved time spent with family at the cottage on Jack Lake in the Kawarthas, cheering on her boys and grandchildren at the rink, and following her beloved London Knights. Above all, Dorothy cherished her family—especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy.

Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Thursday, October 23rd from 11 AM – 12 PM, where Dorothy’s funeral service will be held at 12 noon. Interment Exeter Cemetery.

Donations to the South Huron Hospital Foundation or the Exeter United Church would be appreciated by the family.

The family wishes to thank the staff at the Exeter Villa for their care and compassion shown to Dorothy over the past 10 years and during the final weeks of her life.
