Posted By Haskett Funeral Homes On April 19, 2024 @ 8:27 AM In Exeter,Obituary | 96 Comments

TAYLOR: Bill of Hensall

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bill Taylor, the beloved founder of Pineridge BBQ. In typical Bill fashion, on his own terms, peacefully in his 75th year. Cherished father of Chad, Dan, and Diana. Loving grandpa of Pax, Thoreau, Clementine, Maisy, Kate, Will, and Rosie. Dear brother of Robert “Thunder”, Pamela, and John “Jake”. Predeceased by his parents Jim and Jean Taylor, and brothers George, and David and his furry companion Chap.

Bill’s presence always brightened our days; his laughter was infectious, and his kindness knew no bounds. He had a knack for lighting up any room he entered. Whether he was sharing one of his many funny antics or extending a helping hand, his warmth and humility were truly remarkable. His genuine care for others made Pineridge BBQ not just a successful business, but a community hub where everyone felt welcome.

Everyone will forever cherish the memories they have of Bill, his spirit and his ability to make strangers feel like family. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts and stomachs of all who were fortunate enough to cross his path and enjoy the delicious Pineridge BBQ meats.

Let us celebrate Bill’s incredible life at Club Huron Fish & Game, 278 Alma Street, CLINTON on Saturday, April 20th from 3 – 6 PM (come & go), with words of remembrance at 4:30 PM.

Though Bill truly believed there was no finish line, he could see light at the end of the tunnel and those he has left behind can take comfort knowing he turned that light into a checkered flag. Rest in peace Bill, you will forever remain in our hearts at the top of the podium.

Donations to the Huron County Food Bank Distribution Centre would be appreciated by the family.

I feel lucky to have been an employee for Bill Taylor at the Ridge when it first opened. It was a fun time for Him and everyone involved.

We all looked up to Bill and His perspective on business and life. I got to learn the pineridge history and see how to manage a new business first hand.

He had a lot of gems of jokes and advice that shaped how I try to model customer service, people relations and business models to this day.

Truly a life well lived and legacy left,

Rest In Peace
