At LHSC-University Hospital, London on Tuesday, December 30, 2014, of Lucan, in her 88th year. Beloved wife of the late Don Sutherland (1977). Dear mother of Lois and Alan Hodgins of Lucan, and Diane and Roy Cornell of Thamesville. Grandmother of Ann and John Chalkley, John and Lisa Hodgins; Chris and Mandi Cornell, and Mark Cornell. Great-grandmother of Jenna, Amberley, Shaelin, Hayleigh, Lomax, Reid and Wesley. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Elda Pickering, Joan Drury, Percy and Betty Ann Pickering, Gary and Lynda Pickering, Pauline DeVries, Brian and Linda Pickering, and Marion Elliott. Friend of John Countryman. Predeceased by her sister Eileen Srigley and husband Hank, brother Harvey Pickering, and brothers-in-law Leonard Drury, Ben DeVries and Bill Elliott.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Thursday afternoon 2-4 PM, where the funeral service will be held on Friday, January 2nd at 11 AM with Rev. Bruce Pocock officiating. Interment St. Mary’s Anglican Cemetery, North Middlesex (Brinsley).
Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

I was very sorry to hear about your grandmother’s passing. On behalf of the Board and staff of the King Township Public Library, please accept our sincere condolences during this difficult time.
Sorry to read the loss of Louise, we bowled together in 2003/4 when we were in Lucan and we shared many many laughs and good times. Peace be with you Louise.
Louise was a treasure! I will remember her always as a very independent woman who always had an up beat attitude. She had tremendous pride in her family that expanded as her family did. She always had time for a short visit, whenever or wherever you met her. Not long ago I told her that she had not changed since she moved to Lucan and today I am surprised to read her age. Enjoy your memories of her. Bill and I send our sympathy.

We were very surprised and very sorry to hear about Louise. You will miss her very much. Just keep all those good memories and lovely pictures of her enjoying her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in mind.

I remember your mom as as great driver taking her turn with the blue truck to get us to and from the 1 room school at Brinsley and all the great meals at threshing bees and all the community involvement and never a time regardless of when and where we met always had time to say hello and catch up on what was happening. I was very sad to hear of your Mom’s death,l have many fond memories of her when we where close neighbours.She was always so friendly with a big wave if we where out back ,and we had many over the fence visits.My sympathy to each on of you her family ,l know she will be missed greatly by all.

Dear Lois and Alan and all of Louise’s family, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Louise. Your mother was a grand lady and such a hard worker. I have so many fond memories of your Mom when I drove with her to London when she worked at Woolworths. Getting stuck in a snow bank was one of them and being picked up by an army bus to Lucan. The one thing I always remember about Louise is the love she had for her two girls. She always bragged about and was so proud of her two girls and usually had some little special thing she had bought for her girls. My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time.
