STIRE: Peacefully, at Blue Water Rest Home, Zurich, on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, Ethel Ruth (Bucknell) Stire, formerly of Dashwood, age 92. Beloved wife of the late Harold Henry Stire (2011). Loved mother and mother-in-law of Bev and Stewart Brown of Grand Bend, Larry and the late Tracey Stire (2003) of Dashwood, Mark and Kathy Stire, Sandra and Victor Volochkov all of Grand Bend. Loving grandma of Jacquee (Kris), Dean (Jane), Nathan (Katrina), Nicholas (Courtney), Sarah (Jason), Mellissa (Mark), Amanda (Mitch), Jocelyn (Patrick), Steven (Michaela), Scott (Chris), Bryson (Hannah), Nicole (John). Treasured great-grandma of Brayden, Brianna, Keaton, Dayan, Calleigh, Braedon, Kendra, Hunter, Ashley, Kayden, Zachary, Taylor and Charlotte. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Don and Ruth Bucknell. Remembered by her nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents Daniel and Florence (Needham) Bucknell, and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Alice and Gerd Muller, Elda and John Barr. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation on Friday, November 25, 2022 from 4 to 7 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church, Dashwood, Saturday, November 26, 2022, at 11 a.m. The Rev. John E. Trembulak III officiating. Interment Zion Lutheran Cemetery. Ruth graduated in 1950 from University of Western Ontario, Western Ontario Conservatory of Music, Diploma Associate in Music (A.Mus.), Pianoforte Performer’s Course. Ruth was a piano teacher to many local girls and boys and also supply church organist at Zion Lutheran Church. If desired, memorial donations to Blue Water Rest Home, Zurich or Zion Lutheran Church, Dashwood or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
