Passed away peacefully at Blue Water Rest Home, Zurich on Monday, April 6, 2026 at the age of 76. Beloved wife of the late John Thomas Steadman. Cherished mother of Jennifer Thornton & Shawn Arndt and Cory Thornton & Sandra Fox. Adored grandmother of Amanda, Nicholas, Mathew, Aaron, and Adam Fox. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Charlene Debaeremaker, Betty & Harry Nesbitt, Alice & Humphrey Hill, and Janis & Dave Green. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and the extended Steadman and Loewen families. Predeceased by her parents Rudolph (Randy) & Ellen (Combe) Loewen.
Wanda was deeply committed to community service and leadership throughout her life. She served on the Board of Governors at Loyalist College in Belleville, was on the executive of the Pioneer Park Association and assisted with the Food Bank in Bayfield. She was an executive member of several charitable organizations and a Past President of the LCBO Union. Wanda believed strongly in the importance of volunteerism and giving back. She proudly instilled these same values of service, dedication, and community spirit in her children, creating a legacy that will continue through them for years to come.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Wanda’s life will be held at the Barn Restaurant & Pub (Exeter Golf Course), 40374 Kirkton Road, Centralia, on Sunday, May 24th from 1-3 PM, with words of remembrance starting at 2 PM.

To the Family
We are saddened to hear of Wanda’s passing. She was a kind and generous individual and a good friend and neighbour. My wife and I enjoyed many evenings with Wanda and John with many good stories, good food and dare I say it, good drink. Wishing all that knew and loved her inner peace in the difficult days ahead.
