It has been a long and courageous battle for your Mom and for you… there will be tears, there will be sadness but some day there will be peace knowing that she isn’t suffering, she is at peace with her loved ones and you will find some comfort in that. Helen’s Extended Family, the Family of Gordon Smith, are very saddened to read of her passing. As a member of our Family gatherings and activities for decades, we have many memories and stories that still bring laughter to our lives. We shall miss her talent to come late to ‘Sisters’ cards and walk away the big winner!!

I had the true good fortune to work with, and get to know, Helen way back in 1979. She was a character… loads of fun to work with, she had a kind heart, and I have always respected her. She was a worker, and always full of energy! I am saddened to learn that Helen has died but you must be proud of the memories she has left with you; she loved her family. Please accept my sincere sympathies.

My condolences on the loss of your mother…..I remember when when you moved to Exeter, to the new house 3 doors down on Marlborough St , and we went to high school and played midget hockey together……Your mother was a fine lady and a good neighbor.
