The first time I met Ed we were at an auction in Exeter.
We were talking about the old house Randy and I bought and how we were in need of a plumber.
He said I think I can fix you up.
Well he showed up with Ken Mittleholtz and the two did a great job!
We paid them with cash and a few beer each day.
Everytime I saw Ed after that I got a wink from him.
Rest in peace my friend.

Dear Dorothy, Patti, Debbie, Jeff and family,
I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Ed, such a big loss to all that knew him. I can still remember all the times I sat around your dinner table as a kid listening to all of his stories, all the laughter, him instructing me on how to make his famous mashed potatoes and gravy dams, which I might add, was brilliant for me as a kid, I could go on and on. He certainly made dinner time an entertaining event. I can tell you this, as a kid, I always looked forward to dinners and gatherings at the Smith house .
He was a great man and I am so grateful I had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be missed.
Thinking of each and everyone of you and sending hugs to you all.
Our deepest sympathy to all the Smith family, We have known Ed for many years as I grew up almost across the road from the Smith family, & a lot of good times were had. May God bless you, & enjoy the memories. Frank & Leona Nigh
