SKIFFINGTON: Eileen (Walsh) of Seaforth

It is with profound sadness that the family of Eileen (Walsh) Skiffington, aka Mumbles, announce her peaceful passing in her home on Friday, April 8, 2022, at the age of 67. She will be forever remembered by her companion Kevin Easterbrook, children Michelle (Ward) and Tony (Elizabeth) and father of her children Tony Skiffington, grandchildren Aaron, Myressa (Nanny’s Little Angel), Noah, and Lenora. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Lorraine (Rod), Art (Joanne), Yvonne,  Marilyn, Frank (Florence), Linda (Barry), Jimmy, and Carol (Woodrow). Fondly remembered by numerous relatives and friends. Predeceased by her loving parents Sam and Ellie Walsh (NL), as well as her siblings Sammy, Harvey (Fran), Phylis (Bernie), Stanley, Karen, and her brother-in-law Fern.

Eileen was born in Bay Roberts NL. She always wanted to go back but stayed in Ontario to be around her family. Eileen was a humble woman, and the smallest things made her happy. She was always on the go before her illness with bags in her hand. For those that knew Eileen knew she loved sitting beside a fire, (candles burned when she couldn’t have a fire)  with family and friends with music always playing, which I’m sure she had a song for every person she loved, and we all will remember her by many. The one she quoted often was “Let It Be” by The Beatles, so until we all meet again, we will try too “Let It Be”

A special thank you to all of those that helped her in her final chapter, especially her sister Linda, sister-in-law Joanne and niece Jody.

Keeping with Eileen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
