SIMPSON: Unexpectedly, but peacefully, at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, Strathroy, on Monday, April 13, 2026 Marion Jean (Glenn) Simpson, of Parkhill, formerly of RR3, Parkhill (Greenway), age 80. Much loved companion of the late Thomas Arnold Horner (2024). Loved mother and mother-in-law of James Simpson and Sharon Kennedy McDonald of Centralia, Shelley Simpson of RR 1, Exeter. Cherished grandma of Joshua Simpson, Lyndsey Simpson, Dylan Simpson, Stephaine McVeeney, Jimmy McVeeney and Brandon McVeeney. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Barb and John Thomson of Exeter, Jean Glazier of Dashwood and Reg Horner of Port Stanley. Fondly remembered by Tom’s Family Jeffrey Horner and Joey Lee Smith of Huron Park, Kimberly Ann and Peter Dupree of London and Sherri Lee Horner of Northville and their children Paige Smith, Hank Horner, Clay Horner and Joel Dupree. Treasured great-grandma of 12 and her nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by her parents Goldwin and Beryl (Brock) Glenn, parents-in-law Harry Dixon and Kathleen (Rock) Horner, siblings and in-laws Bob (Louise) Glenn, Bill Glenn, Shirley Horner, Stan (Marion) Horner and Gord Glazier. At Marion’s request, cremation has taken place. A Graveside Interment Service will be held at the Parkhill Cemetery on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Mark Isaac Officiant. A Celebration of Marion’s Life will follow the interment service at the Corbett Community Centre, 35914 Corbett Rd, Parkhill, on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 1 p.m. Arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood. If desired, memorial donations (payable directly) to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.





Marion will be missed. She kept all of us kids in Greenway on the straight and arrow.

I always loved talking to Marion. We would sit with her & Tom at the Parkhill meat draws. Always great stories from them both. May she rest in sweetest peace.

We were deeply saddened by the news that Marion had passed away. Marion & Tom were our beloved neighbours for 25 years. They have left a legacy in Greenway, that will always be remembered. I am absolutely sure, that the mayor of Greenway and his beloved first lady, will now be together again. Their love and their kindness will not be forgotten.
