Wayne passed away peacefully with his son by his side at Bear Creek Terrace, Petrolia on Sunday, June 7, 2026 at the age of 91. Cherished husband of Iola (Vincent) Shaw for over 69 years. Loving father of Jerry Shaw, and Danny Shaw. Proud grandpa of Jamie, and Cole. and great-grandpa of Logan. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Kenlynn Bell, Aleda Cluff, and Beryl Vincent. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Hurley and Marion Shaw, and siblings and their spouses; Glenn and Bernice Shaw, Bob Bell, John and Marjorie Shaw, Dianne and Jerry Chapman, Eugene “Sib” and Laura Shaw.
Wayne was a well-known mechanic in Grand Bend. He was a “jack of all trades” and if it had an engine, he could fix it. He enjoyed spending time cruising around in his 1928 Model A and spending time with his kids and grandkids.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Thursday, June 11th from 6 – 8 PM, where Wayne’s funeral service will be held on Friday, June 12th at 11 AM. Interment Pinery Cemetery, Grand Bend.
Donations to the Alzheimer Society Sarnia-Lambton, The War Amps or The Salvation Army would be appreciated by the family.
To the Shaw Family,
I was very sorry to hear of your loss. I have many fond memories of working with Wayne, in my younger days. He was a great guy and I hope your memories will be a comfort in the days ahead.

We are so sorry to hear of your loss…Will miss seeing him in his Model T car..He was a wonderful guy and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Our prayers and thoughts are with you all at this sad time.
Sincere condolences Danny,Jerry and Mom Lola. Definitely if it had a motor he could fix it. Loved seeing him coming down the road in his Model A. He will be missed. RIP Wayne!
