SCOTT: Devin Lee of Grand Bend *Updated*

Devin Lee Scott passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at the age of 42. Beloved son of Virginia Lynn (Spikings) and the late John Franklin Scott (January 8, 2025). Cherished brother of John Derek Scott and fiancée Michelle Erb. Dear uncle of Luke, and Jade. Predeceased by his grandparents Harold Vincent and Elizabeth Jean (Macfie) Scott, Doris Marie (Bloomfield) (Spikings) Hawkins, and Harold Arthur Spikings. Fondly remembered by his friends and support workers at Community Living South Huron. A special thank you to the many support workers, EMS teams, and the Bluewater Health Palliative Care Unit for their care and compassion.

A celebration of Devin’s life will be held at the Grand Bend Legion (upstairs), 20 Municipal Drive, Grand Bend on Tuesday, December 2nd from 1 – 4 PM, with words of remembrance starting at 2PM.

Donations to Community Living South Huron, Royal Canadian Legion Branch 498 (Grand Bend), or Huron Shores United Church (Right Relations) would be appreciated by the family.

I remember Devin excitement a few years ago when I lived in Grand Bend at the Legion Meat Draw . It made me smile when he won and he got his prize . And his parents and him always taking part in the evening . He was a blessing but so was his parents . RIP Devin

Laramie and I remember Devin from several years ago when he bowled with the Goderich Sunset Strikers. He was always an enthusiastic bowler. He had the biggest grin when he walked in the door. He touched a lot of people with his cheerful disposition. You will miss him. So sorry for your loss.

Virginia and Derek and family I am so sorry to read about Devin’s passing. I so enjoyed him being in our bowling group Sunset Strikers. Devin always was eager to bowl and once he learned the mat trick he was great. We have a lot of wonderful memories of his and your time with us. So sorry, Virginia, for the loss of Devin. I remember him for his love of music at church. Having grown up with a brother with Down syndrome, I appreciate that experience and the mutual love shown. I learned a lot from that experience and I’m sure that you did too. He will be missed.
