SCHMIDT: Carl Francis of Lucan formerly of Pinkerton

Knights of Columbus-W150Suddenly at his home on Monday, May 5th 2014 of Lucan and formerly Pinkerton in his 31st year. Beloved son of Gerard (Jed) Schmidt and the late Cheryle Schmidt (2011). Dear brother of Shelena and James Garrick of Goderich and Beckie and Adam Witzel of Kitchener. Dear uncle of James Jr and his godson John. Predeceased by his grandparents Carl and Irene (Rhody) Weber and Frank and Leona (Zettler) Schmidt.

Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. There will be a Knights of Columbus service in the funeral home on Thursday evening at 8 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Church, 32922 Richmond Street, Lucan on Friday at 11 AM with Father Dariusz Lewandowski celebrant. Cremation with interment Calvary Cemetery, Walkerton.

Donations to the London and Area Right to Life Association or St. Patrick’s Church Building Fund would be appreciated by the family.

My earliest memories of Carl are from seeing him at the Lucan pool some 15 years ago. I seem to recall he had a particular and persistent interest in my comical scuba mask.

Carl was a good guy and will be missed.
