Randy I believe there is no greater loss than the loss of a mother. We miss mom more every day. Boots is with her now and I have to believe that because if not then there is nothing to look forward to. I know mom and your mom are waiting for us and when it is our time we will join them and there will be only happiness and no more pain. I had a good visit with Aunt Maybelle and I&&single&&m so glad I got to see her to talk about all the old times. Take care of yourself.
Jackie

Condolence from Penny Garrison on May 27th, 2010 12:00 PM

My mother, Margaret Garrison, was good friends with Boots and as a young girl, I would visit with my mother. I enjoyed the visits so much that in later years, I visited Boots on my own at Pomander. I recall that she was down to earth and forthright. She was welcoming and generous ~ a hostess with the mostess! I always felt comfortable and at home while sitting around the large kitchen table, drinking tea.

I am sure she will be missed by her family and friends and I wish that they will be warmed by the beautiful memories of a wonderful woman.

Thank you, Boots, for all the kindness, the generosity and the conversation. Say hi to Maggie for me!

Condolence from Gina Dias on May 27th, 2010 7:00 AM

Randy . . . . I am not sure if you remember me, but I used to live with your Mom at Little Pomander and at Poinciana on Pomander Road. I met you in the early 1980&&single&&s on one of your visits to Bermuda. Your Mom was so very special to me; she was always like a Mom to me and told me I was the daughter she never had. I lost touch with her for so many years and it was only this past October (with the help of Roland Skinner) that I found her in Grand Bend. I wrote to her and we talked on the phone for such a long time. I was supposed to make a trip up there to visit her. So sorry I didn&&single&&t get to make that trip. My sympathies are with you and your children. She was such a wonderful person.
