What a terrible shock this must have been for all of you. My deepest sympathies, and know that you have all been in my thoughts and prayers these past few days.

I’ll always remember Uncle Bob as a happy, cheerful guy who clearly loved and cherished all of you. The questionable weather forecasts and the long drive preclude me from coming to offer my condolences in person.

Condolence from Vere Shute on March 12th, 2011 3:18 PM

Dear Donna;
Please accept my condolences at Bob’s parting. I have such clear and happy memories of who Bob was to me and my family. He let me drive his 1953 Ford car when I was a puppy. Bob was my hockey idol when he played for the Medway Cowboys, such a gentleman and how he could carve quick turns on the ice. He was my brother Jim’s best friend and when they were together there were many funny times. It’s odd for me now, to think of what a strong presence he was in my life when I was just a young boy.

I will carry these and other fond memories of this wonderful man.

Condolence from Doug Barr on March 12th, 2011 3:26 PM

Dear Aunt Donna, Jim & Amy, Laura & Sandy, Brenda & Rick, Heather & Eric and families,

Sadly, circumstances are such that I can’t be with the family to mourn the tragic passing of Uncle Bob, and to celebrate an exemplary life. Uncle Bob was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather, but also was a model of a truly altruistic life with his tireless efforts for his fellow man through the Rotary and other organizations he worked for and managed through many years of service. His work as family historian will be treasured by many of us for years to come. He will be dearly missed.

With my deepest sympathy and condolences.

Doug

Laura, Brenda and family,

You and your families are in my thoughts and prayers. May you be blessed with the remembrance of many beautiful memories. Do take time to share these memories with each other.

I just spent a few days with my dad’s brother and he shared stories of their childhood. He gave me copies of some stories he had typed up and it brought me to tears but it was good for both of us to talk about the past.

Words, however kind,
can’t mend your heartache: ,
but those who care and ,
share your loss wish you,
comfort and peace of mind.,
May you find strength,
in the love of family,
and in the warm embrace,
of friends.,

Love and blessings,
Kaye
