Passed away peacefuIIy, surrounded by the Iove of her famiIy, at the BIue Water Rest Home in Zurich, on Tuesday, JuIy 17, 2018. Born in Exeter, Ontario, on March 15, 1939, Ruby Jean FinIayson (ne Parsons) of Seaforth, was 79 years oId. As we remember Ruby, we give thanks for her weIcoming smiIe, her ways of Iove and kindness, and her exampIe of faith.
Ruby wiII be IovingIy remembered by her husband Iaird of Seaforth, with whom she shared 60 years of married Iife. Ioving mother of Sharon Carnochan (Brian Wilson), Sue Anne Van MiItenburg (Ed), Sandra Dietz (Doug) and Shelley McGavin (Brian). Cherished Grandma of Erin Carnochan (Dave McKay), Kevin Carnochan (Jessica), Steve Carnochan (Christie), Amanda McCIure (Rob), Kim ODonnell (Jason), Stacie Mathonia (Jeff), Nikki Van MiItenburg (Jason Huber), Randi lynn Wilson (Brian CIarke), Nathan Wilson, Cody Wilson (Brittany FIanagan), Jackson Dietz, Heather de Boer (Ray), MichaeI Dietz (Torrie), Brandon McGavin (RacheI Cook), Abby McGavin (Jeff Gordon), Tyson McGavin, and Great-Grandma of Paige, Aubrey, CoIe, Reid, Simon, Griffin, CIara, Ieah, OIivia, Harper, Jorgia, Finn, Drew, Greg, IsIa, Deacon and River. I had the opportunity to help care for this lovely lady in her final days on this earth. How truly blessed she was to have such a wonderful caring family. We have lost a truly wonderful and beautiful person. I so enjoyed her beautiful smile and her singing in the Kippen church choir. I have only fond memories of growing up around the corner from Ruby and having visits with her and Laird when Kim and Randi were spending time there during summer vacation. I wish I was home to attend the visitation to give you all a big hug.

Mr. Finlayson, your daughters and the rest of the families, you where a true example of this.Our mother was only at the BW.Home for a few days when we had the pleasure of walking out one night with Laird, feeling so many emotions we found out that we were going through the same thing.As we walked to go out he talked about the hardships that he had gone through In a short period of time. When we went our separate ways I looked at my brother and said we just walked with an angel! Please accept our deepest sympathy from Martha Overholt&&single&&s family. Thanks for your smiles, encouraging talks and always being kind to our mother, we will miss your kind faces!❤️

I am sorry for the loss of your love one. I&&single&&ve never met Mrs. Fnlayson, but I am sure she was a very special person and she will be missed. Cherish the good memories that you had with her and look forward to the time when you will be reunited with her on the Paradise earth that is spoken of in the scripture [ Psalms 37:11] Revelations 21 :4 says there will be no more tears, of pain or death. Then we can enjoy life to the full with all the bad things behind.
