When I remember my years in Guiding Laura was always present. From Brownies through Pathfinders she was with me and my daughters. Her delight in new experiences and especially crafting sessions was infectious to the other girls and she became quickly a leader with her peers. Our relationship extended fare beyond there and I was honored to officiate her wedding to Rob. Rob my heart breaks for you and your boys. Linda and Jason I feel your pain. Always in my thoughts and prayers.

I remember a beautiful little girl taking my little girl under her wing when Laura and Jess entered kindergarten in Holmesville. It was a trying time at our house as my husband John was critically injured in a farm accident not long before. It was a beautiful act of kindness that I always think of whenever I hear Laura’s name. She was a blessing to me. You are in my prayers now.

Condolence from Nikki Fodor on February 25th, 2026 10:43 AM

I had the honour of knowing Laura not only as a coworker for a short time but as a person who cared deeply about the people around her, especially her boys.
She had one of the kindest hearts, the type of person who never seemed to anger, carrying herself with quiet strength and genuine warmth. Her presence could truly light up a room, not in a loud way, but in a way that always made people feel welcome and seen.

I had the privilege of caring for one of Laura’s sons, and I will always be grateful for that time.

I hope that when you boys grow up and wonder what your mom was like, you remember how gentle, steady, and deeply kind she was. I hope you know that the love she poured into you will never disappear. It lives in the way you care for others, in your smiles, in your laughter, and in the wonderful young men you will become.

My deepest sympathy to you all

It is hard to find the words to express how sorry I am. Laura was a beautiful person whose light shone brightly for all those around her. She made a positive impact on my children when they were young. She was kind, supportive and faith-filled. She helped shape Sarah’s path by sharing her passion for camp and outdoor education.

Seeing Laura with Rob, Colin and Ethan at programs in Stratford brought me such joy. She loved the fun you had together and her smile was brightest when she was with her family. Hold tight to those good memories.

Thinking of you all
