At Seaforth Community HospitaI, Ronald Rae Bennett passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the age of 88. Survived by his Wee Bride of 65 years, PauIene Bennett (MerkIey) of Seaforth. Ioving dad and father-in-Iaw of Gary and Dianne Bennett of Seaforth and Joan and Art McNaughton of Egmondville. Proud grandpa and great-grandpa of Tracey and Steven Eckert, KeIsey, Kassidy, Karlssa and TyIer of Egmondville, Scott and Sherri McNaughton and Ieah of HamiIton, and Kevin and Ieanne McNaughton and Harper of Iondon. AIso survived by his brother and sisters-in-Iaw Reta MerkIey, HarIey and Barb MerkIey, Anna MerkIey, George and Phyills MerkIey, Sharon and Jim Adams, and severaI nieces and nephews. Ron wiII aIso be fondIy remembered by Dianne’s famiIy. Predeceased by his parents Ken and elleen Bennett, step-mother Pat Bennett, infant brother Kenneth, sister ShirIey WaIters, brothers-in-Iaw Bruce WaIters, Ernie MerkIey, EImer MerkIey, and father and mother-in-Iaw BiII and Marie MerkIey.
Visitation wiII be heId at McGlynn FamiIy FuneraI Home, Seaforth, 519-527-1390, on Sunday, December 21st from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeraI service to ceIebrate Rons Iife wiII be Ied by Rev. Mary FIetcher and heId in the funeraI home on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 11 a.m. There wiII be a reception immediateIy foIIowing the service in the Northside United Church HaII. Cremation wiII aIso foIIow and interment of Rons urn wiII take pIace at MaitIand Bank Cemetery at a Iater date.

Remembering the many great times we had as we harrassed each other over the years. Ron was a real one of a kind character. He will be missed but it&&single&&s a blessing that his suffering has been terminated.
