It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our brother, Thomas John Roberts, to cancer at his home on Thursday, January 16, 2025 – one month before his 68th birthday.
Tom is survived by his siblings; Margaret Marian Lee, James & Ruth Roberts, Catherine & Kevin Cullen, Linda & Dave Smith and 14 nieces & nephews, 13 great-nieces & nephews and 3 great-great-nieces & nephews. Predeceased by his parents Edward & Helen (Essery) Roberts and his brother-in-law Guy Lee.
Tom was incredibly gifted with creating working mechanical inventions such as a miniature cannon and several steam engines. He had the ability to repair any mechanical object no matter how complex. He enjoyed working in the garden, hiking and biking. Tom won the “Top Technical Student” award at South Huron District High School in 1975.
There will be a private celebration of life at a later date.
Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or your favourite charity.
