Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at LHSC- Victoria Hospital on Sunday, June 1, 2025, in his 73rd year. Beloved husband of Deborah (Keller) Regier for 52 Years. Cherished father of Chris Regier and Kim Hulley of Zurich, and Vicki and Dan McCarter of Zurich. Loving Papa of Kaitlyn and Bryce Vantyghem, Olivia McCarter and Jared Roy, and Spencer Regier. Adored Great Papa of Tate Vantyghem who brought him so much joy. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Marie and Claude Boisvert of Woodslee, Phil and Linda Regier of Zurich, Sharon Rau and Paul Hohner of Exeter, Cecil and Wanda Regier of Zurich, and Valerie and John Van Oosterhout of Delaware. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Gerald and Ursula Regier.
Eugene always looked forward to some competition with his friends at his Thursday night card group. Over the years many relationships were formed at R&R Fabricating, where he loved building land rollers beside his business partner, brother, and best friend, Cecil. Eugene was proud to be known as “the roller guy”. Above everything, Eugene prioritized spending time with his family, going on many family vacations, and weekly Sunday dinners.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Thursday, June 5th from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 PM, where Eugene’s funeral service will be held on Friday, June 6th at 11AM with Dennis Estep officiating.

I shared some of my youth with Eugene, beachside parties, ride sharing to work.
And one memorable vacation up north. We rented a fishing boat ,went out and unfortunately hit a rock, and broke the cotter pin on the prop. Thank goodness for Genie, he was able to make a cotter pin from a nail, by flattening it with a rock! After a while we were on our way, unfortunately we only had reverse gear and had to go backwards, all the way to the rental camp. Talent to no end!
