REABURN: Sheila Kathryn (Robertson) of Exeter, formerly of Ilderton and Hensall

Sheila passed away peacefully at Exeter Villa, with family by her side on Tuesday, July 8, 2026 at the age of 96. Beloved wife of the late Robert “Bob” Reaburn for 61 years, she is survived by her children Jeff Reaburn and Cindy (Sid), Paul Reaburn, Deana Drost and Pete Sweiger, and daughters-in-law Cherie Reaburn and Tammi Reaburn. Predeceased by her sons Joe Reaburn and Chris Reaburn, son-in-law Ken Govers and daughter-in-law Patricia Reaburn. Sheila lived a long and happy life and was blessed with a large family. Adored grandmother of Adam and Tammy, Craig and Amber; Jamie and Brad, Ben and Christina, Robert and Christina; Kim and Chris, Dave and Sarah, Greg and Lindsey; Dallas, Harley and Claire, Travis; and Adrienne, great grandmother  Nora; Arwen, Harlow; Lexie, Cali, Anica; Isla, Sloan, Roman; Lizzy; Jason, Wyatt, Charlotte; Will, Madelyn, Olivia; Lakelyn, Rayne, Everly, and Wilder. Dear sister-in-law of Ruth Lahn and fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her siblings and their spouses Olga and John MacKay, Jeanette and George Hymmen, Nelson and Jackie Robertson, and by brothers-in-law Allen Reaburn and Rob Lahn and sister-in-law Jean Reaburn.

Sheila was a long-time resident of Hensall where she worked for Drysdale’s Hardware and the Hensall PUC and where she opened her own gift shop, The Birch Tree. She was an active member of Hensall United Church and of the Hensall Kinettes. After retiring from work, Bob and Sheila moved to Ilderton for a few years before finally settling in Exeter, where Sheila’s favourite pastimes were gardening and golf. She also enjoyed her weekly breakfast club, card games and socializing with the residents of her apartment building.

The family would like to express our thanks to the staff of Exeter Villa for the wonderful care that our mother received over the last two years.

As per Sheila’s request, a private celebration of her life will be held at a later date, following private inurnment at Exeter Cemetery.

Donations to Jessica’s House Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
