At South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Friday, November 15, 2002 Ray Smith of Exeter in his   87th year. Beloved husband of the late Elda (McDonald) Smith. Dear father of Larry and Susan Smith of Exeter, Marcia Rydall of Elginfield, and Carol and Gerry Reid of Exeter. Dear grandfather of Danny and Nancy Smith, Wendy and Peter Laing, Patty and Jody Steinman, and Laura Pearson; Jody Dayman and Mike Boyle and Shannon Rydall and Laurie House; and Michael and Terri Reid and Gail and Doug Upshall. Also survived by 11 great-grandchildren. Dear brother-in-law of Lois Learn, Audrey McDonald, Gladys McDonald all of Exeter, and Fred MacDonald of Port Franks. Predeceased by a brother Cecil and sister Gladys Haley. Friends may call at the Hopper Hockey Funeral Home, 370 William Street, 1 west of Main, Exeter on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM where the funeral service will be held on Monday, November 18th at 2 PM with Rev. Lillian Wilton officiating. Interment Exeter Cemetery. Donations to the Arthritis Society, Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Ray worked with the Exeter Fire Dept. for 45 years.
