RAU: John Anthony Edward “Tony”

Suddenly at Blue Water Rest Home, John Anthony Edward “Tony” Rau formerly of R.R. 2 Zurich passed away in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Patricia (Sreenan) Rau. Dear father of Diane Ernteman of London, Brenda and Ron McDonald of St. Mary’s, Sherri and Steve Harrison of Arva, Joe and Carolyn Rau of R. R. 2 Zurich, Kim McCann and Mark Hallman of Grand Bend, Derek and Tammy Rau of Cambridge and Shawn and Cathy Rau of R.R. Zurich. Loving grandfather of 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Antoinette Taylor, Jean Geoffrey and Henry and Tillie Rau. Sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents John and Matilda (Bedard) Rau, his sisters Theresa (Leo) Masse, Madeline Denomme, brothers Andrew (Alida) Rau, Joseph (Donna ) Rau, Wilfred Rau and brothers-in-law Ted Geoffrey and Bob Taylor.

A private funeral will be conducted on Monday. Cremation with inurnment at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, St. Joseph Ont.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Society or a charity of one’s choice.
