Marilyn passed away peacefully at LHSC – Victoria Hospital surrounded by her family on Friday, February 20, 2026 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late John L. Pym (2013). Loving mother of Pauline Pym, Dennis and Cindy Pym, and Steven and Cindy Pym. Proud grandma of Justin, Allyson, and Evan. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Kenn Tuckey and Phyllis Hamilton, and Darol and Dave Spencer. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Bruce and Florence “Florrie” Tuckey, and her in-laws; Joan Tuckey, Nona and Tony Shulman, and Lois and Al Wanner.
Marilyn was a lifetime member of the Women’s Institute and a longtime member of the United Church Women, where she valued fellowship and service to her community. She cherished her family above all else and was deeply proud of each of them. Known for her generous heart, Marilyn lovingly knitted hats and blankets for premature babies, as well as lap blankets that she donated to hospitals and those in need. She enjoyed playing games, especially Scrabble with Pauline, and was a devoted partner to her husband John in both life and farming, offering unwavering love and support throughout their 54 years of marriage.
A private family funeral service will be held at Haskett Funeral Home. Interment Exeter Cemetery.
