I was saddened to hear about the passing of Pat. She was my Girl Guide Captain at St. Aidan’s in Windsor in the 60’s. I remember when she started dating you as your Dad had taken over the ministry there. At your wedding, our group also formed an honour guard outside the church. I am so sorry for your loss. One of my fondest memories from that time, was a party held at my mum and dad’s (Jill & Bev Holmes) home and Pat partaking in a skit of “You Light Up My Life”. Singing with the other ladies, housecoat on over her clothes with a candle in her hand and a great big grin on her face. I think the party was held in your honour after you were ordained.

I just watched Pat’s funeral service. It was very nice to hear such good things about the Pat that I remember. I felt sad when Joanne Batton told me that she had died. Most of my memories go back to high school and inter school Christian Fellowship and also your time here in Windsor. It was very nice to hear of her strong faith which she learned early in life. Three or four years ago when she was here, Joanne treated Pat, Susan and I to lunch. That day we had good visit and talked about everything, and even grandchildren were mentioned. She was proud of them all.
