June 17, 1982 – August 8, 2023
Passed away suddenly at LHSC- University Hospital on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 of Exeter, formerly of Lucan at the age of 41. Cherished husband of Leah Campbell. Proud father of Nicolas, Everley, Addyson, and Josephine. Beloved son of Robert and Susan (Foxton) Pipe. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Jason and Susana Herd (Victoria, Chelsea, and Justin) of Brantford, and Brian Herd of Lucan. Loving son-in-law of Erica and Jason Miller, and brother-in-law of Amy and Mike, Kelsey and Cameron, Emma and Jonathon, Mylie, and Jakeb. Fondly remembered by his aunt Shirley Hossack and his late uncle Jack Hossack. Matt will be missed by his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and his many friends. Predeceased by his grandparents Jack and Ruth Pipe, Ted and Shirley Foxton.
Matt was known as a goofball to all who knew him. His smile was one that would light up any room he walked into. He was always quick to goof around with his friends and family and ensure they always had a smile on their face too. Matt was a dedicated sports fan, cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Blue Jays, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In his spare time, when he wasn’t spending time with his kids, he could be found playing video games, or enjoying a cold beer with his friends.
A celebration of Matt’s life will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN on Sunday afternoon, August 13th from 2 – 4 PM, with words of remembrance at 2:30 PM. In honour of Matt, please dress casually or wear your favourite sports jersey. Private family interment Exeter Cemetery.

Still hard to believe. Matt was a great friend and always had a coffee for me when he picked me up for work. He always spoke about his kids and his loving wife every chance he got.I will miss his stories and the playoff beers. He will be missed by many. Saddened to hear of matt’s passing. Remembering our days at Medway. He was always a great friend, always making us laugh. He will be missed.
I am so sorry to hear of Matt’s passing. So many great memories of him through school. Particularly on the bus and walk home in high school. So many inside jokes and laughter. He was always one to cheer you up when you were down. He never made fun of me when others did and was someone you could count on. May he rest in peace and his children find comfort in knowing how much of a stand up guy he was.

Matt’s heart was so big and his grin was even bigger. He shared his laugh and his love with anyone who needed it. Matt was a close friend of mine for a long time. He quietly held my hand through some dark times in the last few years. Very blessed to have known him. His smile and his laugh will live on in my heart.

I never new Matt well but severed him many timmies coffee. He was always smiling and easy going. After reading his obit I know where his kindness came from , Robert he was a lot like you when I knew you from Brussels.
