Peacefully at the Exeter Villa on Saturday, November 29, 2008, Peter H. Sutherland of Exeter and born and raised in New Brunswick in his 72nd year. Predeceased by his companion and best friend Doreen Kirk (2000). Dear father of Peter Sutherland of Woodham and the late Lisa (Hyde) Sutherland (2007), Mike Sutherland and Jane Robertson of Angus, Brian Sutherland of Hensall, Jeff Sutherland and Mary Ann Kenney of Hensall and Mark and Margaret Sutherland of Mount Carmel. Also survived by 11 grandchildren. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Thelma Stannix, Greta Sutherland, Elva Dickerson, Hazel and August Hagel, Faye and Rolfe Clark, Katrine and John Howland, Treba Humbey. Predeceased by brothers Otty and Roland, sister-in-law Marie Sutherland, and brothers-in-law Bertram Dickerson and Robert Humbey. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, 1 west of Main, Exeter on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 2nd at 11AM with Rev. Paul Ross officiating. Interment Exeter Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Cystic Fybrosis Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
