Posted By Haskett Funeral Homes On July 12, 2025 @ 6:03 PM In Obituary,Zurich | 5 Comments

Passed away peacefully at Southbridge Goderich on Thursday, July 10, 2025, at the age of 95. Beloved husband of the late Shirley (Whitmore) Peck (2023), with whom he shared 70 years of marriage. Proud father of Brian, and Allan Peck (Karen Peck). Cherished Papa Earl of Ethan Peck.
Earl will be fondly remembered by his sister-in-law Roberta Whitmore, nieces and nephews: Robert Whitmore, Steven Whitmore, Scott Whitmore, Greg Griffin, Teresa (Terry) Griffin, Trent Griffin, Grant Griffin, David Peck, Austin Peck, Avery Peck, and Victoria (Vic) Peck.
Born and raised in Haliburton, Earl was predeceased by his parents, Percy and Hazel (nee Barry) Peck, and by his siblings Stanley Peck, Bruce Peck, Effie Griffin, and brother-in-law Don Whitmore.
Earl operated a successful automotive repair business in Port Hope, ON until retirement in 1990.
Twenty-eight years ago, Earl and Shirley moved to Pine Lake Campground in Bayfield where Earl became an enthusiastic volunteer. They spent many winters travelling by motorhome to the US Southwest, camping with family and friends in the desert near Borrego Springs California and Arizona.
The family is grateful for the care Earl received at Clinton Hospital and Southbridge Goderich. Earl enjoyed a long health span followed by a short period of illness; a life well lived.
In keeping with Earl’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family interment will take place at Camborne United Church Cemetery.
Donations to the Clinton Public Hospital Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society in Earl’s memory would be appreciated by the family.
Allan we are sorry to hear the passing of your Dad. No matter how old you are the passing of a parent is not easy. Remember all the great time you had with him.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I remember having great conversations with Earl at family reunions. He lived a long happy busy and productive life. He spent 35 years in ‘retirement’, but never really retired as he remained active his whole life. Earl will be remembered.
Very sorry for your loss.
