To Betty’s family – We wish to express our sincere condolences from the retirees chapter of Canadian Fabricated Products, Stratford, On. She was a dedicated worker rain or shine to all she knew.
Memories of Betty shall remain in our minds and hearts.

She was my Aunt. My first babysitter. Mom was her oldest sister (not mentioned here) they had quite the relationship. Bette tried to be the voice of reason when there was a lively conversation with some of the others. Now she can referee the sisters again.

Betty was my Aunt, but more than that she was a second mother to me.
We went on many camping trips, I learned how to throw a ball by playing catch with Bobo (her pomeranian), she taught me how to read and write, and gave me heck when I was out of line.
She was the sound mind (or voice of reason) to the 9 Smitjes siblings… while having her own little qwirks.
She was an incredible tailor/seamstress; making me the most amazing tux and hockey bags ever.
She will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of meeting her.

Condolence from Karen Higginson on August 21st, 2021 1:05 AM

My husband and I had the privilege of serving as missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Canada two different times. So, for a total of three years we visited Art and Betty almost every week. We had some wonderful times with them and they always welcomed us into their home and shared their love with us. We love Art and Betty and we have wonderful memories of the time we spent with the Pearson’s. We are happy they are together again. We offer our deepest condolences to their family.
Love, Elder and Sister Higginson (Lynn and Karen) Bountiful, Utah
