Condolence from Leslie Chiswell on May 23rd, 2010 8:00 AM

The visits that Paul and Anne had with my parents, Ross and Isobel, were always filled with laughter and often with music. The last time I saw Paul, he and Anne were sitting in Mom and Dad&&single&&s backyard, enjoying the evening sun and each other&&single&&s company. I will ride for Paul this year when I participate in the Heart and Stroke&&single&&s Ride for Heart in early June.

Condolence from Timothy Cumming on September 25th, 2009 9:00 AM

Anne:
I am so very sorry to hear of Paul&&single&&s passing. I remember Paul as someone who was passionate about music (old jazz in particular, I recall), who was always articulate and who challenged my thinking and got me to question some of my preconceptions, and who loved fine food (I seem to remember Greek cuisine was one of his loves). He was an asset to the Seaforth community and I will miss our discussions over the years and our infrequent reunions on Main Street.
Thinking of you and your family.

Tim Cumming, Former Editor, The Huron Expositor

Condolence from Beverley Hubbard (nee Chiswell) on May 25th, 2010 2:00 AM

Anne, I am so sorry to hear of the sudden passing of Paul. I will always remember him as the handsome, soft spoken, happy, and supportive husband of my mother&&single&&s maid of honour. I have many fond memories of both you and Paul in and about the Chiswell history, but the one I cherish most was the time you came to a party for Mom and Dad at my little house in Scarborough. This was the first time (my) Rob met you both, and he was particularly impressed with Paul – they both knew a lot about wine and jazz and hit it off immediately. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you in this time of loss. – Bev

Condolence from Bob and Betty Beuttenmiller on May 25th, 2010 3:00 AM

To the Copeland family, We are sorry to hear of your sudden loss. Paul did so much walking and Bob commented that he just had talked with Paul. May the Lord give you much comfort. Sincerely Betty

Condolence from Eileen Landa on May 26th, 2010 8:00 AM

Dear Anne, Pete, Flo and Eric.

Our heart goes out to you during this trying time. The only positive view is to take comfort in the knowledge that the suffering, if any, was brief, and that Paul is now at peace and watching from beyond.

As long as we remember him, he lives on for us.

Love,

Eileen, Christian and Brian.

Nothing replaces the presence of a loved one. May this small token prolong the life of someone else&&single&&s loved one.

Condolence from Peter Cranston on May 26th, 2010 7:00 AM

My memories of Paul are all from the late 1940s. Paul, Ed Hausmann, myself and one or two others took a course in History of Philosophy at U of Toronto. After each session we would go to the King Cole Room in the Park Plaza Hotel and exchange opinions and arguments. Our paths diverged. I am delighted to see that instantly recognizable photo and have it evoke those memorable and joyful times.

Condolence from Jason on June 2nd, 2010 7:00 AM

Paul was such a nice person and very enjoyable to talk to. His knowledge and wisdom on so many topics made him such a treate to talk to. Sympathy&&single&&s to his family
