Peacefully, at home in London, on Thursday, September 12, 2013, after a long, hard battle with cancer, with his dear wife of 27 years, Sherry (Peters) Parnall beside him, in his 71st year. Dear dad of Gerald Jr. and Sherri Parnall, Robin and Paul Peel, Marty and Christie Peters, George and Sharon Hopkins and Dusty and Carol Parnall all of London. Dear grandpa of 15 and great-grandpa of 1. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Kathleen Kenny and Patricia and Tony Van Vliet all of London. Missed by his mother-in-law Margaret Peters of London and all of the Peters family. Predeceased by his son Elmer (2007) and brother Leslie (2009). Gerry will be sadly missed by his best friend Puppy.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 17th at 11 AM. Cremation with interment.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Sherry and family sorry to hear about Gerald he will be missed. I will always have a smile when I think of Gerald I know I have a lot of fond memories of him as im sure use do too.Im sure he will be making them smile up there in baseball heaven where im sure they are all reliving every game they played or umpired again and again.Im sending lots of hugs to yous. Our Thoughts and prayers are with you all. I will always remember Uncle Geralds smile. It could be a week or years but any time we met, he always had a smile and usually a joke. He was a Great man and will be truly missed.
You touched all that you met with your wit, smile and honesty. I hope that all the valuable lessons you taught me i can be half the man, father that you were. You are a peace now with no more pain just know that you did a wonderful job in your life and I hope that you can smile over all of us everyday. You will forever be in our hearts and thoughts. Aunt Sherry, Boo, Robin & Dusty & familes – just a note to say that all of you are in our thoughts and prayers at this very sad time.
Uncle Gerald was a great and wonderful man – keep all your memories in your heart as I know he will be looking over all of you.

So sorry to hear of Gerald’s passing. Unfortunately, the only time we got to meet, was my first trip with my Mom, Joan, Gerald’s Cornish Cousin in September 1995, a visit we never forgot. Sadly my Mom passed away in Nov 2007, but I know she would wish me to convey our deepest sympathy to Sherry and all of Gerald’s family.

Sherry, Boo, Robin and Dusty,
I’m so sorry to hear of the loss of Uncle Gerald. I have a lot of fond memories of time spent with Uncle Gerald, when I was a young girl. He always made me feel special and loved.
I will keep my memories in my heart forever and I hope you find you will too. This is a very hard ,sad and confusing time but know he is looking down at us all with a big smile, out of pain and wishing he could let us know, he’s okay.
