There is a rock I have known my whole life through As a child, it was huge to me and larger than life. I could climb that rock, never afraid, I felt so safe, it was solid & strong. Life went on for the Rock and for me. It had sunny days and some real harsh ones too. Time went on and I visited less, but I knew my rock there to visit and sit; or draw strength from whenever I needed a lift. One day the water receded; the tide had taken its toll, the years of waves crashing had weakened my Rock. I tried to be strong and visit my Rock whenever I could. He never gave up and stayed strong as he weakened, I tried to as well, although my heart was breaking. But he showed me all was not lost…. At the end of his days the rock cracked into pieces, there were many more rocks all part of his creation… So the Rock lives on, in all of us now, through his wife he adored. The pride of his life his Children & Grand-Children. His Father, Brother and Sisters who love and miss him now even more.

A few years ago I flew into London for a visit. Glen was picking me up. I really needed that cup of coffee so I was hoping for a few minutes before Glen arrived. I saw his truck right away so I thought oh well I can wait. When I opened the door he said”Here’s your coffee Fred.”It was just the way I liked it! Fred Lamb
